The EMIT series has a strong connection to the Brazilian community in the Tampa Bay area.  EMIT and Brasil Arts have sponsored four annual Brasil Arts Festivals. This summer festival include capoeira (a Brazilian martial art form), live Brazilian music, a batucada (drum group) and Brazilian snacks and drinks.  Venues have included the Studio@620 and NOVA 535.  For more information about the band O Som Do Jazz, go to their website at www.osomdojazz.com .
